I was tasked to create a custom data integration (ETL) that would merge data from their legacy Point of sale (POS) system to a new custom POS system that would be rolled out to over 200 locations.
Timing was of the essence as daily and monthly reporting had to continue during the process
Tasks included:
- Engineered a mission-critical ETL pipeline to migrate complex transactional data from legacy POS systems to a modern, custom-built solution for 200+ international franchise locations.
- Architected a hybrid schema using MySQL and MongoDB, optimizing for diverse data structures while ensuring 100% data integrity during the transition.
- Developed high-performance PHP scripts for automated data ingestion and validation, maintaining seamless daily/monthly financial reporting with zero operational downtime.
- Collaborated cross-functionally with external vendors to standardize API/output requirements, accelerating the global rollout.
- Ensured business continuity by automating financial reporting scripts, preventing any disruption to daily franchise operations during the transition.
