ICON tickets, a provider for hard-to-get and premium tickets for national, local, and worldwide events wanted to offer users the ability to search and purchase tickets via their mobile device.
Based on their current desktop site, I created a mobile version that allows users to easily search and purchase tickets. The mobile and desktop site are one in the same so as changes are made to the desktop site they are also reflected on the mobile site. Ticket Evolution POS was utilized to handle ticketing and purchasing. The TicketUtils API generates seating charts for each venue.
Options included:
- Engineered a high-scale e-commerce platform serving 32,000+ performers, utilizing Microdata/Schema.org management to optimize SEO and search engine visibility.
- Architected a unified codebase using a responsive “Single Source of Truth” strategy, ensuring seamless feature parity and synchronized data updates across desktop and mobile environments.
- Streamlined complex API integrations, including Ticket Evolution POS for secure transaction processing and TicketUtils for dynamic, interactive SVG seating charts.
- Automated a static site generation (SSG) pipeline to handle high-traffic event pages, significantly reducing server load and improving page load speeds for international users.
